About Dina
Hi, I’m Dina.
I’m a family and portrait photographer based near Newtown, Pennsylvania, and I continue to photograph many of the families I’ve worked with for years throughout Hoboken, Jersey City and New York City.
I’m drawn to photographs that feel lived-in rather than overly arranged - beautiful light, movement, imperfect expressions and the small interactions that are usually more interesting than the pose we originally planned.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, especially at the beginning of a session, but I’m always watching for what happens in between.
Photography started with my fascination with light and eventually became the way I pay attention to people. I still shoot film, keep far too much of it in my refrigerator, and love the slightly unpredictable quality it brings to photographs.
Outside of photography, I’m originally from Belarus, I’m unusually tall, I love hiking, travels, history, documentaries and disappearing down very unnecessary rabbit holes about how the universe works.

Things I enjoy.
Coffee drinking.
I truly believe a cup of coffee is a natural extension of my hand. I can find and smell it miles around me. And I will be very happy to share one with you!
Shooting.
I take my camera everywhere I go. If I’m not shooting with a client and just go for a walk around the city or visit a new country - my film camera is always with me. Street photography is another passion of mine. I guess that’s why I end up with almost no photos of me.
Hiking.
As I’ve mentioned before, hiking is as important to me as shooting. The more peaks I climb the happier I am. I’m not a stranger to waking up at 4 am just to watch the sunrise. So if you are a morning person like I am, and want to catch this mystery blue hour, and shoot some amazing photographs, I’m right here at your service!
